Inspired by the process

Caffeinated started off as a found type exercise, but was later developed into a logo design for a hypothetical cafe or food retailer. The project highlights the importance of the process and embodies a personal belief that inspiration can be taken from daily life.

Summary

Caffeinated is a typeface turned logo design inspired by the condensation and splash marks hot beverages can leave behind. It is hand scripted and features a constant thickness throughout its letterforms. When transferring the original results of the exercise to a digital medium, the variety of shades produced was kept to maintain reality.
