After Dark

Trying to find a restaurant in Toronto can be tough. There are numerous places to chose from, but not all of them are good. Trying to coordinate a group of people, whether it be planned or spontaneous, is even harder. When you add on the varying opening hours between restaurants and days of the week, finding a place to have a meal – let alone drink – with friends can be too difficult.

After Dark is a navigation app that focuses on Toronto's restaurant industry. The primary function of the app is to help users locate restaurants at night. By providing various filter options, navigational tools, and venue pages; After Dark offers a more enjoyable and carefree dining experience.

Interface

After Dark utilizes a map interface, with a option to toggle to a grid interface. The map interface visualizes the distance between user to various restaurants, and the proximity of the various restaurants to one another. The grid interface emphasizes navigational tools, like travel and arrive times.

Venue

Venue pages provide additional information about the restaurant. Here, users also have the ability to review and post a review, save the restaurant to their favourites (My Places), and share the restaurant's location with their friends – a useful option when you want to turn your meal into a social event.
